This works by setting the LD_PRELOAD environment variable to libdsocks. It will then wrap all networking-related system calls. When used the script can socksify a program by simply giving it as a parameter to socksify: socksify ftp ftp.example.org For minimal setup, without any socks.conf file, specify the server address with the SOCKS_SERVER value (for a server supporting socks v4 and socks v5). SOCKS_SERVER=10.0.0.1:1080 socksify ftp ftp.example.org
